And I'm not sure they even have the technology yet to put fibre into the home , as far as I know it operates from the home via copper to fibre at the exchange, this is the way High speed fibre works where it is already connected.
As far as the 43 billion figure is concerned that is the governments figure , private enterprise is more effecient in every respect inculding developing alturnatives that best suit the situation .
