As for “where” your question was nonspecific. I gave the subsurface location then you moved your goal posts. Then I said “manifold” and that is exactly where it is. I have seen procedures for 3 phase retrieval through the separator until the minimum pressure threshold is reached (but that depends on how much volume for collection is in the string and the pressure of reverse circulation) then manifold, then holding tank.
The bottom line is… I believe you asked these questions to try to prove the sample would be mixed with muds… I believe you thought the sample would be collected via the shakers? That is why you said I didn’t understand circulation? Ironically your accusation or saying I didn’t understand the circulation means you must have thought it didn’t go to the manifold and beyond?
I think the error you made was thinking reverse circulation was the opposite of usual circulation, but it is completely different for DST sample retrieval and that is why you were wrong to say the sample was mixed with muds, because it isn’t. That is why you hid your post. Maybe you thought it would go through a kill line? (Wrong).
