Surely that sort of behaviour couldn't possibly prevail in a country where the MO can essentially do what it wants including spit-balling a SOR, despite their legal team suggesting it was founded on a nothing-burger.
The regulator can determine if it wants to partake in a Senate inquiry or not.
A short report writer can compose a report asking potentially nefarious questions without the input of the company or not.
A PM can appoint himself to multiple ministries at his own whim.
I can't imagine such an environment would induce such amoral activity from further down the 'pecking order of success'.
