I've adopted a principle when it comes to both of those former illustrious vocations - avoid at all costs. More often than not in my experience, the former has an ulterior motive. Some of the largest have taken the opposite side of the advice they give their clients.
As for the latter, there are very few left that exhibit the integrity and intent originally enshrined within their profession. They are now used click-bait car sales jockey's tasked with driving revenue from the ignorant happy to escape their misery or exist within victimhood.
