any company that mines needs to raise money for constructing a plant to process the resource. It’s generally done through off take agreements and funding from cornerstone investing. I’m surprised you think this is strange? How else do they start Mining and producing revenue. $272 mil is cheap on capex side tbh. Look at some lithium companies in the billions they need for capex. They might need $272 mil at some stage (way off this point). Once they establish length of mine and how much revenue YoY and a payback period then they’re a profitable company that prints money. Who wouldn’t want a slice of that. All of these things investors are aware of and are standard for the journey from explorer to developer and then finally producer. Once they hit more milestones the project de-risks and SP will rerate as likelihood of success and revenue increase. You’re downramping relentlessly.
