some article in the NYT doesn't suddenly make russian aggression and expansion either acceptable of justifiable .

Only a fool would imnagine the net strategic outcomes of this war have improved russias position after they forced Sweden and Finland into NATO .
There was no threat from Ukraine and it wasn't joining NATO .....this war is simply about russias supposed status as a superpower and their supposed right to dominate the region at the expense of their neighbours .


...and some glib reff to some NYT article doesn't change that
