The Libs needed the win. This is white middle class Australia heartland who only lost to the coalition because of a swing against Scott Morrison in 2019. A steal was very much on the cards. The next election, will be on the back of potentially interest rate downgrades so cost of living and economy may not be as big as an issue as it is now.

I agree not a bad result but not a winning one for the coalition and not one many senior libs wanted to lose. even at 6.3%.

The legacy of Peta Murphy had alot to do with the result. That is not a bad thing. It shows that middle class Australia have not been completely morally disembowelled with the leftist elitist globalists agenda.
