@Johilo returned; the range of products and their quality 'Made in China' is massive.

For example; one of my brothers bought a new 8'x5' box trailer a few years ago and so did I.

He has a small farm, his trailer gets 'abused' and needs to be close to indestructible. His trailer has electric brakes, is made of galvanised Australian steel, built like an army tank and even painted really well. It was manufactured locally in NE Vic and cost him $6,500. He uses it like a tip truck to move soil / gravel around his property. It's been brilliant and is serving his needs really well.

In contrast, I needed to replace my old rust-bucket trailer with one that only occasionally does any heavy work. I opted for one assembled locally from Chinese 'hot dipped' chequer plate steel. Unpainted, but with a one tonne payload, heavy duty axle and mechanical override brakes. Including a cage it cost me $2,900. It's served my needs brilliantly, still in near new condition and since I etched / painted it anyway it's neither any rust nor corrosion. It's one apparent flaw is that the hot-dipped floor isn't all that flat - it has several 'waves' in it - these are not a problem for me though.

Clearly that's a case of chalk vs cheese, I have no need for a best quality trailer but for my brother it's essential.

A different brother bought a Tesla and recently saw what China is offering - he feels he's been 'ripped off'.
