I don't really follow the day-to-day movements that closely myself. Although I have noticed FXL seems to be pretty tightly held so the price can fluctuate quite a bit on fairly low volume.
I initially started picking them up when they were around 32c and wish I'd got a lot more then. Had them run all the way up to around $1.80 and back down to $1.20 or so but have been happy to hold throughout. I find a lot to like about the company and as you say it is somewhat recession-proof. And well managed.
