though if POG stays around the current spot, then.. the extra $17m could be basically paid for if they can produce around 125k for the 2nd half of FY24.
Even if WGX can only get their AISC to around $2050 AUD (which would see them hit around $1980 AUD), the amount of cash will more than cover all of the non-sustaining capex.

I guess the question to ask regarding the dividend, is... when would be the right time?

My guess is that WGX is taking a page out of RMS' playbook, by having a dividend up their sleeve to sweeten any corporate action they might undertake (it may not ever be important, but... when you are trying to tip the scales in your favor, small things matter).

The move today in the share price is impressive, though I still view WGX as being down-trodden compared to it's neighbor RMS (though... SLR is perhaps just as beaten down as WGX, albeit I really do think WGX has so much more exploration potential than SLR).

Out of interest, do you have a list of the gold stocks that moved today? I wonder why RMS moved less than 1/2 of WGX. Corporate moves afoot?

I have slowly come to the conclusion that unless something dramatic changes for WGX, it has well and truly lost it's chance to move on SPR (not the end of the world, just how things have played out). Not just because of today's results, but... the timing of WGX heavy capex period which ramping up, just not the best time to make a large acquisition (though I think a smaller one is coming).

Nice to see the sector get a little attention, though hopefully... it's just the beginning.
