One rather suspects that a corrupt judge is a greater impediment to legal process than a juror reading academic research.

Reading the bits and pieces of the article posted here it seems to me the judge looked at the evidence from the inquiry and came to the same conclusions Sofronoff did. I'm not sure why you think there's anything wrong with that?
