One must wonder when the share price of NST would double, from say a starting point of $US2000 an ounce of gold.
For ease of maths, say NST gold production is 1.5 million ounces per year.
A gold rise to $US2500 per ounce, gives NST an extra $US750 million dollars in cash.
A gold rise to $US3000 per ounce, gives NST an extra US1.5 billion dollars in cash.
How long before the punters decide that investing in US Treasuries is not such a good idea.
How long before US sanctions on the rest of the world, suddenly boomerang back onto the US, if the US and Israeli tag team, keeps on bombing Gaza into ruins.
How long before the Australian Reserve Bank decides it is time to invest in a little gold - OK, forget the last 'how long', now I am 'jumping the shark', with the Fonz!
