LIONTOWN KATHLEEN VALLEY
Another milestone for our 95MW Hybrid Power Station has been achieved with the first delivery of LNG at our Kathleen Valley Lithium Project.

The LNG component of the 95MW Hybrid Power Station will support the 30MW wind farm, 16MW solar farm and 17MW Battery Energy Storage System, ensuring that operations can continue to run if renewable power isn’t available.With the arrival of the LNG, Zenith Energy has commenced load testing and commissioning the Jenbacher Gas Generators at the power station, with the process running smoothly and successfully.

The LNG was produced at the Clean Energy Fuels Australia (CEFA) Mount Magnet Mid-West LNG Hub, 370km from Kathleen Valley.

The Hub is directly connected to the Mid-West Gas Pipeline, which transports gas from the Dampier to Bunbury Gas Pipeline, providing access to natural gas fields in the Mid-West and North-West.

Kathleen Valley’s power station has been designed to run in “engine off” mode for significant periods of time, enabling us to operate from 100% renewable energy during periods of high wind and solar resource. We are committed to operating with a low carbon footprint.
