This looks like a bit of panic from TLX to me. CU6 has an exclusive supply agreement with NorthStar for commercial supply of both 64Cu and 67Cu.
The real key to CU6's success is not the isotope, but the ligand used. The SAR-bis-PSMA is far superior at getting and keeping the isotope on the tumour target than what TLX has. Also the combination of the two Cu isotopes makes for a very compelling combination as the radiologist knows that if the imagining product is on target that the theranostic version will be too.
I think we can look at this move by TLX an acknowledgement that CU6 has been right all along. TLX should get serious and buy out CU6 before it gets too expensive.
