Heaps of seafood Marinara recipes out there, some are tomato based, Olive oil and also a cream version.
I'm not a fan of the cream version, the tomato one takes a bit more work and I think the tomato overtakes the seafood but still good if not using top notch seafood
Olive oil based seafood Marinara is the simplest I think and lets the seafood be the hero of the dish, you can use tomatoes in this version adds some nice colour but only chopped up firm fresh tomatoes, like wise with capsicum, red and/or yellow one and they should not be over cooked.
If you are not up to making fish stock, you can buy fish stock. I also use white wine, just not chardonnay
When you see a recipe that you like, no need to use every ingredient listed and you don't have to use the exact amounts. The recipe may call for 3-5 different seafoods but it's fine to use just 1, 2 or 3
I prefer to use a thin spaghetti or fettucini and be generous with the Extra virgin olive oil
