It references a 2022 white paper because that’s what was referred to by ‘sources’ who spoke to the Fastmarkets reporter following that important conference.
What’s not to like?
“It is predicted that, by 2030, demand for vanadium pentoxide in vanadium batteries will reach to around 100,000 tonnes – the same amount used in steel production in 2023, sources said.”
You argue 100% of produced vanadium - ie 100,000 tonnes (according to Fastmarkets ‘sources’ on 2023 figures) will be directed to flow batteries instead of steel making in 2024/25 ?
