but you do have access to the shares you borrow you just have to pay interest and fee on it
how it is different you borrow money from the banks to buy a house, the house is not your until the debt paid off, it is owned by the banks and mean while you pay interest and fee on it
but you can still sell and buy and sell and buy to nth degree and repay the loan at any time and in the case of commercial loans banks can recall their debt and you are force to sell your commercial properties.
