Imprisoning people for their views isn't a marker of Communism or Capitalism. Consider 1700 Britain, the capitalism of Hume, people were imprisoned for criticising King or Church. In the USSR or Mao's China people were imprisoned for criticising the regime.

In my view Capitalism and Socialism are differentiated by the degree to which the government intervenes in the market. With enough government intervention comes poverty and people fleeing.

again we seem to be in agreement. its the balance that is needed to ensure neither social values not business values over-ride the other.

imo in Aus we have a pretty good balance generally.
