I have a decent holding in Aristocrat. If I didn't hold ALL, I'd most certainly look at LNW. But one stock in this industry is enough for me. From an investment perspective, I think LNW looks pretty good. The returns from their U.S. listing has been excellent.
But I prefer the financials of one compared to the other. If you like the industry, then there'd be nothing wrong with holding both companies. Bit like owning RMD & FPH simultaneously. I think that LNW's listing on the ASX is a strategic move. It's a small market, but the lions share is well beyond our shores.
Anyway, I'm only invested in one of the companies to make money. Otherwise, gambling totally sucks and I despise it. But it's been around as long as prostitution and midwifery. The industry will still be riding high long after we run out of oil. Wanna bet on it?
