My two favourite bad takes:

1. "AP have been promising to produce a commercial demonstration chip for 11 years. They haven't done anything. It's obviously a scam." These people ignore a multitude of really important milestones that lie between idea and product, which the company has achieved at great effort and expense. No, it doesn't mean they will get over the line, but it means they are trying for goodness sake. When there is a commercial chip, these people will just move the goal post, again.

2. "I want a huge return from a novel technology stock, but I don't want it to be hard to achieve, take time, or for there to be any setbacks or unmet promises." Newsflash, new technologies with patents are great motes BECAUSE its hard (and maybe impossible). If it was easy, it would have been done already. Have you heard of nuclear fusion?
