I’m hoping the PAA boys have stopped haggling with BP and will accept what would probably be reasonable for both engaged parties. Okay, MT put in his opening gambit of $2.4bUSD. I was happy with that. Maybe BP have come back with their opening gambit - $200mAUD (knowing Roger has no finding secured for the upcoming trial). Fair enough. Roger didn’t bite, but got him thinking. To and fro over boardroom coffees (American, horrible) and some drinks in those Hells Kitchen establishments (where you CAN touch the ladies, brilliant), and we get to a figure both parties can like - $1bAUD (Rog can say he got an old fashioned unicorn, Yanks can say they got a blockbuster for $600mUSD).
My bet is a TH tomorrow morning.
