It's a very easy situation to understand, you just have to try. It can also be called white privilege.

When a white person gets called white it's usually not an insult or derogatory for the one being called it.

If a dark skinned person gets called black it's usually designed as an insult and taken as an insult.

It really isn't rocket science, but it does seem that righties have zero clue how to see the differences.
