The auditor may have found discrepancies in the accounting either for Q1, Q2 or both which has necessitated the role of an Independent Financial Expert once again. There may have been considerable work to do before sign off by the auditor which would explain a delay. This would also mean that either one or both of the quarters making up the 1/2 yearly report may have been incorrectly reported to the ASX. If the accounting is usually carried out by a separate firm, that would add to the complexity of adjustments.This would be overseen by the CFO so he has probably been under the pump.
