but does the tier of journal this article is published in invalidate the science or conclusions, or diminish the credibility of the authors from University of Chicago? I’d say no.---- I WOULD SAY YES and here is why. Just because someone works in a prestigious University does not make them smart/er. If they were that smart then why would they not want their findings in a prestigious paper? Ask yourself this question, if you blew an IQ of 150+ would you settle for the frontier? Hell I wouldn't especially if I knew the worth of my work and my findings. The reality of this rat race in medicine/scientific world is that everyone is after publications to boost their CV. Now if Grudzel applied to my University with publications in the frontier, that it self would speak volumes without me even wanting to ask him anything!


nteresting you attempt to discredit the paper -- I don't have time to waste on these Mickey Mouse journals. I rather educate myself with proper validated journals.

you think the editorial board on the NEJM, Lancet etc would really take every publication to pieces before accepting it? I can tell you this from personal experience. Its takes months to get an acceptance if at all any. All these lesser journals literally send emails to us to publish our already published stuff (republish it)
