DO NOT place your confidence in The Hon Tom Koutsantonus. His runs on the board are atrocious.

Bullied the KI Council to upgrade their airport with the promise of doubling PAX numbers (they more than halved) and eastern states jets direct to KI. Disaster resulted with $23m spent and outcome being REX (13 years service) pulled out and Qantas moved in with significantly dearer fares- but only because they were 'incentivised', and...wait for it, wait for it...the daily flights more than halved, and the eastern states jets turned into turbo props but only for a very short summer over two years only - circa 11 weeks only. Well done Kouta - your judgement great.
And then...and then...Koutsantonus was the gun behind going after then deputy premier Vicki Chapman because her decision to refuse the Smith Bay port was conflicted - he claimed loudly under parliament privilege. Ombudsman moved in to review and Chapman was fully cleared of the claimed conflict. Well done Kouta - your judgement moved from great to legendary.
