thats a fair comment nip.... but the fact is that such previous climate changes have occurred at a slow rate - over decades for minor changes and centuries for larger ones. this time the changes are occurring much more quickly due to forcing by our use of fossil fuels.
lets not forget that this is caused by digging up carbon that was laid down over millions of years and released millions of years in just a couple of hundred years.
and because this is effecting changes in ocean chemistry as well as atmospheric, it means oceanic life as well as land inmates and plants will be less able to adapt. the more the temperature rises, its rises at a faster rate. our carbon output is now over 100x greater than it was only 50 years ago.
