    ''Imbeciles or laziness?
    Is there a third option?''

yes and the correct option -

humans are not built to see danger beyond the immediate

think about the animal - think about where we were - lets say only 10,000 years back (even less really)

our dangers were - big things with teeth jumping on us

big things with teeth trying to get into our cave

cold - ice, as it crept closer - we moved away. But the danger had to be on us at the time.

We have not evolved beyond that and if you notice our instinctive reactions - they still work very rapidly - instantly ----- but, if we sense any danger way off - we have to see it or hear it

we have almost no vision for prediction of what we cannot see

we are, under the hood - a very basic animal.

definitely not lazy - and imbecilic? ------------ whilst the species isn't the brightest -

what it is in this particular case - is unevolved
