Tonight's Four Corners program provided insights into the Israeli politicall and judicial systems which have enabled Netanyahu to exercise so much power for so long and to install such aggressive extremists in his Cabinet.

It also explored how Netanyahu has so easily exploited Israel's 'preferred partner' status with the USA and effectively made himself a virtual 'untouchable' with the US as his shield.

It appears that only one thing will bring about a humanitarian ceasefire - a decision by US President Joe Biden to stop resourcing Israel's war effort against Palestinians.
