loan money to maintain a high share price. This means Fred has high net worth on paper. Borrow large amounts against high paper net worth. Use that money for property development or something. Make good money on that borrowed money. Continue to prop up akp share price to maintain borrowing capacity with akp shares forming part of the assets accounted for in loans.
I’m not saying this is what has happened. It’s just a scenario to explain how Fred could benefit from the constant loans to akp. I have no idea what Fred does with his money.
