Also, capex is not the only comparison to be made. A combination of grade and scale is equally rare on the ASX. AW1 has the grade and with the deposit open in all directions we're about to find out a lot more about scale this year.
Logistical costs are low via the proposed method.
Permitting which you do correctly point out is normally a big issue @Bunn-Wackett is not anywhere near as big an issue here. The nunavut government is keen to approve more mines as it derives a huge amount of revenue from them. Additionally, there is no first nations approvals required and since the deposit is in an arctic desert, environmental approvals are not going to be an issue at all. No tailings dams to approve, simple DSO is not going to require years of permitting like these other operations can drag on for.
There is a lot here that is very atypical.
