We already have a Nuclear Reactor in a Sydney suburb and it has been there for many years and most Australians have benefited from its existence. It is located in a fairly highly populated area these days, however this was not the case at the time it was built. That people chose to live near a reactor suggests a lack of concern for its safe continued operation.
