We know Appen is a leaky ship. So some insiders probably leaked this merger offer. However what often happens with leaks is that lot of the details get lost. So probably 70c bit got lost and people kept buying for FOMO. So this kept pushing the price. Also interesting to note that Appen board is still engaging in this offer so they still think 70c is fair value. Only few deluded investors here think this is worth $10+.
This will drop back to 60c tomorrow.
