That lack of vegetation is how US geo's found Serra Norte in the first place (N4-N5) when they had to land on a bald hill to refuel their helicopter in the 60's, even the late Lang Hancock and his mate found the massive deposits in the Pilbara by observing the flora from a small plane, have read that in the Carajas area lack of or stunted vegetation is an indicator of the underlying mineralisation and has now been described as a (now) widely recognised indicative corridor containing most of the very large deposits, Trindade North is one of them, as I said before, Vale need the entire structure before being able to have a properly structured mine plan, can you imagine 1/3 of this bullseye deposit being unavailable to Vale?, no way around mining a mountain when you have to stop halfway around the hill, that's why, hope AVB and Vale have other opportunities to offer or share with each other, AM is widely recognised as one of the pre eminent geo's in this area, and Vale would be very aware of that, I think if AM hangs around you will see more collaboration with Vale in the future. I would like to think AVB and Vale are on very good speaking terms
