I doubt Apple would ever be an OEM client, however the possibility of using RealTek chips , that is an interesting question.
They have their own chip suppliers , but if the RealTek chip is as good as the rumours suggest you never know. But Apple generally wants exclusivity and I can't see RealTek doing that, unless Apple pays for a customised chip.
What gets missed is the chip is not just for "hearing" but for very broad applications, Leroy talked about this last year. Which is not surprising as RealTek are in the volume game. If NUH can get a reasonable clip per chip which the should be able to given the $4mln investment that would be welcome. They need to update us on the RealTek situation.
