IMO you dont understand that its not a matter of "either/or"..that is
either an ICE or a BEV.
Mr Market has already spoken with the following mix:
-more fuel efficient ICEs
-Petrol & diesel hybrids
-PHEVs
-BEVs
The 2 transitional vehicles from ICEs to BEVs are
the Hybrid & the PHEV , both of which have now established
their respective market niches...the Hybrids in Taxis etc where
range/recharging time is critical & the PHEV where the
average daily round trip is less than 50 kms.
So IMO, to emphasise the extremes (ICE vs BEVs) disregards
the transitional Hybrids & PHEVs which IMO are crucial to a smooth
transition over 15 years (average life of an ICE) from IVEs to BEVs.
