you're saying spot price, the sales/M&A process and different strategies and tactics of the companies don't matter... which doesn't make sense
about 2/3rds of M&A fails to add value. Corporate history his littered with trash M&A... look at RIO buying Alcan, BHP buying Petrohawk etc.
