The above posters show how little they know about Lynas. Lynas has always used contract miners to dig up the ore. They own the mines but sub out the actual blasting and digging. This was true when NC first opened the mine. i do not know if Carey Group Holdings is the same company as before but this announcement is for them. So this is not at all relevent to Lynas's future it is just a continuation of what they do every 3 or 5 years.

Do some research the ASX has nothing to do with if the news is price sensitive, It is totally Lynas's call. The ASX does put out guidelines on what is and is not sensitive. If they receive complaints they will investigate and change and chastise if needed. Think about it most announcements are time sensitive. There are hundreds every day from all the companies. Do you want to slow it down with some government agency decides how to rate it? Could a group of people that do not know much about individual companies looking at all these releases make a better decision than the company itself?

Look at the above posts. people that post on this board did not seem to know that this is how Lynas has always done their mining. What is chance people working for ASX would get it correct.
