help me understand your statement about higher australian dollar equalling higher profits?
As I understand it, all metals including Nickel are traded internationally in $USD.
When the $AUD is valued low against the $USD, we get more for our pound of nickel than when the $AUD is high against the $USD.
On the positive side, Mincor is trading at a lower PE ratio (under 15) compared to other miners (above 16), so there should be some upside coming.
On the negative side, global stockpiles of Nickel have stopped falling, and are close to equilibrium having risen over the past few weeks.
It is a well managed company - I see that Commonwealth Bank has just gone over 5% holding in the company - that is someone voting confidence in a very well managed company.
