An interesting article about how Indonesia with China's help, have basically decimated nickel prices.https://www.mining.com/web/indonesia-and-china-killed-the-nickel-market/
It reads like China are going to keep investing in processing / smelting and Indonesia are going to maintain Ni prices around US$15-18k
"The government official overseeing the nickel boom reportedly said prices are unlikely to rise above $18,000 a tonne, and that the country will ensure the market remains well supplied to keep costs lower for electric-vehicle manufacturers. The official also said prices shouldn’t drop below $15,000, lest Indonesian smelters be forced to cut production below that level."
The mentioned cost (AIC / AISC ???) per tonne is crazy low == "costs Harita Nickel just $5,225 a ton" - that would be the end of AU Ni mining / smelting unless the head grade improves by a factor of 3-4 times !!
Let me know what people make of this ......................
