With respect LED, while everybody knows that the trials were conducted in the US, I think that the term "clinical work" misguides a quick look. What the article should have said is that all the submissions of results of clinical studies and applications for approval, wherever they are done, come from Collins Street, Melbourne. A foreign company owns the patents and products. And for some reason that carries less weight with the FDA.

I have not read the whole article but the bit that Wilba32 quotes just says that stuff from Australia may not have the same resonance with the FDA as it would if it came from, say, Md., even if it looks good. Home grown is best. All we need is a TO from a US company and all those rocket gifs would be blazing

It was loose terminology and could reduce confidence in the article. I'll remember that when I read it.
