technicaly the civil war was already there ......but the US supported it .....a little at first .....then just ramped up and turned into a disaster seems to me a bit like Ukraine in that russia thought initialy it would also be a relatively small commitment with a big reward ....that wasn't the case .....and that just dragged on .
Seeems like neither the US in Vietnam or the russ here knew how to cut their losses and get out when they had the opportunity ........for russia it should've been when they were pushed back from Kyiv because that was the end of the "short war" scenario .
But I'm not here to defend the US ....certainly not Vietnam ......but that is no justification in any way for what russia are doing here .
