They sound alright.

Still it depends on the fee's and the trading platform, Although you seem happy .with them.

I wonder how good their trading platform is.

I use Aussuper and am happy. Love their trading platform. Especially as its immediate. I only very very rarely trade market price bids. I won't bore you with the details of my experiences.

When I am going to trade I open a Commsec page along side my super trading platform. Example of a buy trade.

In Commsec I can easily see the various sellers current price offers and volumes. I hate ending up with partial trades with odd numbers of shares.
Lets say I want 5000 shares at 1.00 and the last sale price was at 1.01. Current sellers prices at 1.02. I watch and wait. If I put in a market bid at 1.00 I could end up 659 shares. I am waiting for sellers to lower prices, when I see more than enough sellers volumes at my price (usually at well over double of what I want)
I execute my super buy trade. Usually inside 30 seconds I can see my trade go through on Commsec.

I can't add to my Aussuper retirement account. So at one stage I opened a second super fund.

Their trading platform was like swimming through honey. My career was building systems and whoever designed and built this trading system was an idiot. And whoever they used to execute trades with the ASX was in the same category, so slow.

I tried the same process with them and it couldn't work because it was so so slow. At one stage in frustration I put in a bid with a odd number of shares so that it was recognisable and it took a number of hours for my bid to surface in Commsec

I closed that account.

I hope your SMSF trading platform is better than that.

There is a attraction for me with your SMSF fund as you can trade with small MCAP stocks not yet listed in the ASX300. 5 years ago I might have given it a try.
