I have been suspicious of GR since she first bought in: I have suspected her of wanting to repeat the Atlas Iron privatization play. She doesn't give a toss about the national interest - only the Rinehart interest - but the Feds would be very disappointed if they were seen to have gifted GR $840 million and left the way open for her or any succeeding buyer to flog the lot to China. Perhaps the Feds should revise their involvement and buy a 10+% shareholding so they could block any privatization attempt.
