BLD was an atrocious performer for many years, as shown by miserable ROE figures in the range of 6 - 8 %, and put down
as a very very ordinary company by many investment professionals who would not touch it.
have a look at the long term price chart. it was at $8 back in 2005 but then below $3 in 2022 before SVW bought 70%.
it has largely been because of SVW's 70+% ownership , and thus bringing in a new management team, that BLD has started turning around.
