Your last two sentences display that your points are heavily biased towards gas.
"Gas causes little pollution...." - completely incorrect
"...plenty of lithium fires...." - biased reporting from conservative media outlets
IMO Pep won't get approved.
However the gas industry will continue to receive govt support in WA where resources, infrastructure and community support is strong.
That's where the gas majors are and it's in their interest for NSW to continue to not have a gas industry of any sort - think about it...
