Was it the Russians that presented the tables full of tiny heads and soap? Horrific images, and then it was all walked back. Imagine if the censorship we see today, surrounding this event, was applied as rigidly back then. We'd still believe there were hideous bars of soap and shrunken heads being pumped out of these camps.
Safe to assume there was no more bs other than the shrunken heads and soap. Well, other than the 4 million at Auschwitz that, eventually, became 1.5 million and it was assumed the missing numbers were murdered somewhere else, but no one seems entirely sure where. My point to anyone questioning any of this would be to say "Hey, you saying you've never misplaced 2.5 million people?"
So apart from shrunken heads, soap and the uncertain location of 2.5 million people who were definitely murdered, it all falls into place and must never be questioned again.
