Early farmers in the Hunter valley were told by the local aboriginal people of a great flood that went over the top of a local hill that no flood has been anywhere near that since.
They also spoke of a terrible drought when the Hunter River dried up and they had to move inland in search of spring water to survive.
That would tie in with what Professor Ian Plimer said was revealed by the Antarctica ice cores, in around 13 -1400 Australia experienced a 40 year drought.
Our cities will be in trouble when/if that happens again.
Never mind, Cassanova's windmills will stop it from happening again.
