I think, unless Labor really take on a more developmental and National approach with the States, so there are coordinated policies, (such as what to do with the development of renewables, hydrogen, in-ground wealth and the processing and development of such), the political scene will continue to fracture and will crash before reforming in a better way. That will come in the form of more and more minors and Teals. For me LNP are on their way out already.

We, as a country, don’t have any real National policies to the growth of Australia. We haven’t had this for a long time. We are corrupted by the same economic failings of the US’s system; and we don’t really need to be.

It’s ironic that a big part of a proper National growth program would be to take control of our in-ground wealth and dictate how it is used. In terms of production, (ring any bells to Whitlam?), Australian use and export. There is only a finite resource and we need to be wise quickly. We only have about half a century to do what needs doing.

We also need to invest the wealth that all brings into our future, like Norway and develop into many other areas. We start to future proof.

This is way beyond LNP who are going to toe the line of their benefactors into obscurity.

There are also opportunities to open up the North of the country properly through infra and tourism aims as well as being hubs in a new resource processing and material manufacturing. The objectives of each work in each others favour. This could also go a way to solving a
lot of indigenous problems if done correctly.

Do we have anyone who could do that sort of thing? No,
not at the moment. But I would hope political change could help that.

totally agree ---------- would have been a different picture if we'd have thought like this 50 years back ----------- is it too late? ------- hmmmm

spot on - it's way way way beyond what the Liberals have been for decades ---

but, IMO - I think it's way beyond Labor as well - and has been and is way beyond any political force that's foreseeable

why?

because it's us that is the problem

1. we've let politicians do what they please - we've lethargically given them the shove when we've been sick of them - but, then, we let in a mob who look least worse - and then let them do what they want - rinse and repeat

2. what we just WILL NOT do is to allow a mob in with anything at all resembling more than ho hum, tepid, timid talk - if there's a hint of a big idea--------- pffffffffffft, gone - doesn't get a gig, not a chance

He's nice with words ------------- I call it gutless, lack of will, no vision, no imagination

great pity, hell of a waste of a good country.

We will NOT get effective and decent political change and better politicians if we stay gutless and timid -----

if there is no push from the people - then, there will not be any movement in leadership
