spot on - it's way way way beyond what the Liberals have been for decades ---

but, IMO - I think it's way beyond Labor as well - and has been and is way beyond any political force that's foreseeable

why?

because it's us that is the problem

1. we've let politicians do what they please - we've lethargically given them the shove when we've been sick of them - but, then, we let in a mob who look least worse - and then let them do what they want - rinse and repeat

2. what we just WILL NOT do is to allow a mob in with anything at all resembling more than ho hum, tepid, timid talk - if there's a hint of a big idea--------- pffffffffffft, gone - doesn't get a gig, not a chance

Keating - like him or lump him nailed it ------------ we are timid.

He's nice with words ------------- I call it gutless, lack of will, no vision, no imagination

great pity, hell of a waste of a good country.

We will NOT get effective and decent political change and better politicians if we stay gutless and timid -----

if there is no push from the people - then, there will not be any movement in leadership

If one wants a nation - one has to think of a nation and do - to move towards a nation

who does that? --------------- the list of names is very short

Unfortunately I have to agree. I would love to get in there and kick arse, but it’s a mates club - like many countries politicians: US, UK, Europe - all very similar. We could do with a few pragmatic Scandinavians or the Germans who derived their ‘Quality’ approach.
