The Russian region of Belgorod has come under attack again in recent days, according to officials, triggering plans to evacuate 9,000 children from the area.
One person has been killed in the region and two more have been wounded in the latest attack, the regional governor said today.
So why has it been targeted?
The region holds about 40% of Russia's iron ore and other minerals, and is home to several major industrial companies and farms.
Ukrainian officials rarely comment on attacks inside Russia, but they highlight Kyiv's right to use all means to counter Moscow's aggression.
